Meds

I’m fully off the Geodon. And after 4 days of being miserably sick, I’m finally feeling a lot better.

Adderall. I’m suppose to be starting Adderall right about now. But we are currently in a battle to get the insurance company to pay for it. They are hesitant because of my age. We’ve sent in the initial request and it’s been denied. Soon we will send in the appeal. Hopefully within a couple of weeks I can start the new med. But in the meanwhile this is a long process.

Geodon Withdraw

I’ve been sick since Monday. It is now Thursday. Tuesday was the day I was my sickest.

Mostly dizzy, nauseous, and shaky. I’ve been really sweaty too. And very lethargic. I’ve spent most of my time on the sofa or in bed.

I had to call off work today. I had Monday through Wednesday off anyways. I was hoping to be over the worst of it by now. Now I can only hope to make it back tomorrow.

I’m not sleeping well at night either. It doesn’t help that I’m without Ambien.

English History

So it seems I’ve been hooked into the world of the Tudors. Henry VIII to be more specific.

It all started when I watched the movie The Other Boleyn Girl. It’s a true story dealing with King Henry and his second wife Anne Boleyn. A good movie if you are into that type of thing. That type of thing being either romances or history.

Then on Showtime I discovered the drama The Tudors. And I’m obsessed. I’ve watched through all of season one and only have two episodes left in season 2. For season 3 I have to wait for netflix to deliver them to me. I might lose my mind in the process. The show is very racy and is not kid friendly. There are indeed sex scenes and lots of nudity. Oh! My favorite person in the show was Thomas More. He was a great man in history and was well played in the show. I say was because he got beheaded in the beginning of season 2. Kinda a spoiler but if you know history you saw that coming.

I’ve also been using Wikipedia to my advantage and have been looking up some of the people portrayed in the show. So far, from what I’ve read, the show seems to be fairly accurate to history.

Anyway, I’m obsessed but it was a great movie and a great show. Check them out.

Oh, and David, if you know of any good books dealing with Henry VIII please let me know. I don’t know if this is in your area of specialties.

Of Withdraw and Dr Visits

I’m feeling quite a bit better today. I’m still suffering from withdraw some but not nearly as bad. Yesterday is mostly a blur. I spent most of it either in bed watch tv with Luke or on the sofa watching Luke play.

I also finally got to the doctor today. I do indeed have a urinary tract infection. I wasn’t quite sure. I’ve been having symptoms off and on. Nothing consistent. I should have gotten to the doctor yesterday but I was too sick yesterday to do much of anything. Anyway, I’m on an antibiotic for it now so hopefully I’ll get better fast.

Geodon Withdraw

I’m going through withdraw today. I cut my Geodon back from 160 to 80mg last night. And my body can apparently tell the difference.

I’m suffering the following symptoms:
Dizzy
Nausea
Sweaty
Shaky
Lethargic

It gets worse as my day grows longer.

I’m going to spend the next few days at 80mg. Then I’m going to drop to 40 for a few more days. Then I’m off it completely. I’m taking longer with this than my doctor asked me to, but I’m trying to work my withdraw days around my days off. When I’m going through withdraw I’m in little to no condition to work. If I had known I was going to do this I would have waited a few more weeks to take my week off.

I’m having trouble typing because my hands are so shaky.

I’m going to bed.
