So apparently today is the day where I post. I can live with that.

I got a phone call today from a store I put in an application at. They aren’t ready to schedule a interview but they wanted to know my availability. That wasn’t on the application. She liked my availability and I’m fairly confident I’ll get a call for an interview.

The job will be 20-25 hours a week, which is a little more than I wanted, but I’ll make do. I talked to my main job and I can stay at 3-4 days a week, so I’ll find my balance. I can do this. I will do this. I gave her my availability as 5pm to 1am and there are no days I have to have off. Normally I try to take Wednesdays off but my reasons for that all occur before 5pm so I figure why not.

What will I be doing? I’ll be standing in a check-out lane for hours on end. Probably the most boring job out there but whatever. I can make it interesting. I can talk to people. I’ll make the best of it. And maybe I’ll work my way up.

They had 20-25 applications total. They’ll whittle that down based on availability and schedule interviews from there. I don’t know how many jobs they have available to fill. We’ll just have to see. Pat, who has worked for this company before, said that if they call you for an interview you pretty much have the job as long as you don’t do something stupid. So again, we’ll see. It’s been awhile since he worked for them, things do change. I’m just going to keep my head up high, hope for an interview and go from there.
