Thursday nights are game night around here. It’s something we started a few weeks ago as a means of reconnecting with our oldest. After dinner, and little brother goes to bed, we take turns picking a game for the night and sneak a game based education in on our son. Monopoly teaches him the concept of money. Uno teaches him to match numbers. Chutes and Ladders teaches cause and effect. All work on counting and number recognition.

When done right, family game night can lead to such events as the family cuddle, the family tickle fest, or finally the family wet willy fight.

All in all, it’s a blast!
