Meds Update 3/9/09

Celexa 40MG/day
Geodon 80 MG/day (soon to be 160)

Geodon is an a-typical anti-psychotic. It’s used off label to help BPD patients deal with rage.

All of my celexa side effects have cleared up. It was a very rocky month there, but worth it. I came out the other end feeling better. I still have a long way to go. I am searching for a more solid sense of stability in my moods and existence. But now I at least have a solid ground to fight on.

On the topic of meds, I was officially diagnosed with Migraines the other day. I’ve been having them for years. But up until recently 800 MG Ibuprofen has been treating them. Well, not any more. I’m now taking Tramadol as needed. If that doesn’t cut it I’ll take Imitrex for the severe ones and I’ll be on a low dose blood pressure med to help prevent them. But we’re hoping the Tramadol works. Both the doc and I are firm believers in less is best.

That from the walking pharmacy. I know.

But seriously, when you can taste your headaches, it’s time to get some help.
